Nicola Sturgeon, First Minister of Scotland, will be sharing details of Scotland’s latest review of the COVID-19 induced lockdown on Tuesday. This comes after Scotland recorded a milestone zero deaths for the first time since January 18. Sturgeon will begin the announcement in Scottish Parliament at 2 pm in February 16.
The First Minister is expected to announce the opening of schools in a phased manner from February 22. In the last review, she had expressed her desire for primary school children to resume classes after February half-term.
Sturgeon may also update on the lifting of restrictions from the next month. She is also likely to provide data on vaccinations, number of active coronavirus cases and COVID-19 deaths reported in the past 24 hours.
Scotland is undertaking measures to curb the spread of COVID-19, ensuring all international arrivals isolate in hotels.
