Jessica Springsteen, the 29-year-old daughter of legendary singer Bruce Springsteen, has made it to the US showjumping team for the Tokyo Olympics. She will compete in the sporting extravaganza this month along with her stallion Don Juan van de Donkhoeve.

"Been dreaming of this since I can remember!". "Endless gratitude for my team, friends, and family for helping me make this a reality. We are Tokyo-bound!! Honored to be a part of this team with @laurakraut @teamkpf and @mclainward.official. There's no horse in the world I'd rather be on this journey with, thank you, Don! You're my horse of a lifetime...Let's go USA!" she wrote in a July 6 post on Instagram.

She is not the only one who will feature in the Olympics and has ties with some very popular celebrities. Here is the list of other Olympians of the past who are related to someone very famous:

William Laurie: William George Ranald Mundell "Ran" Laurie, the father of actor Hugh Laurie, competed in the 1936 Berlin Olympics as a rower. This was not his only appearance as he competed again in the 1948 Olympics in London, this time winning a gold medal in the coxless pairs event.

Caitlyn Jenner: Kylie Jenner and Kendall Jenner's dad Caitlyn was the Olympic champion in the decathlon event at the 1976 Olympics in Montreal, Canada. Jenner came out as a transgender woman a few years ago and has since been an advocate of transgender right in the US.

Princess Anne: The daughter of Queen of Britain Elizabeth II, Princess Anne became the first member of the British royal family to compete in the Olympic Games. She featured in the British equestrian team at the 1976 Montreal Olympics. She did not win a medal in the games as she suffered a concussion during the event. The British Princess never the less finished the event.

Princess Maitha bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum: The princess of Dubai, Maitha competed in the 2008 Beijing Olympics. She represented UAE in the Tykowondo event. She was the first woman to represent Dubai in an Olympic event.
