Actor Shilpa Shetty’s husband and businessman Raj Kundra was arrested by the Mumbai police on Monday. While the businessman has denied all charges against him, the Mumbai police say Kundra “appears to be the key conspirator” in a case regarding making of pornographic films.
On Tuesday, the 45-year-old was sent to police custody till July 23.
Shona had also alleged that she had been approached to audition for a web series via video call where there were three people and they demanded that she audition nude.
In a video, posted by Zee5, Suman is heard vociferously demanding that authorities take steps to suspend websites that publish pornographic content.
On Kundra's arrest, Mumbai police commissioner Hemant Nagrale issued a statement on Monday that read: “There was a case registered with Crime Branch Mumbai in February 2021 about the creation of pornographic films and publishing them through some Apps. We’ve arrested Mr Raj Kundra in this case on 19/7/21 as he appears to be the key conspirator of this.”
