Shaheer Sheikh, who has replaced late actor Sushant Singh Rajput as 'Manav' in Pavitra Rishta 2.0, is a popular Indian actor and model. He is known for his roles as Anant Bajpai in 'Navya', Arjuna in Star Plus' 'Mahabharata' and Dev in 'Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi.'
Sheikh made his television debut in 2009 with 'Kya Mast Hai Life', where he played the role of Veer Mehra, a teenager who loves music and playing guitar. The actor was loved by the audience and soon became the newest heartthrob of the small screen owing to his looks.
After the second season of his debutant show ended, Sheikh was seen in Jhansi Ki Rani as Nana Sahib, brother of Rani of Jhansi replacing Satyajeet Dubey.
Sheikh rose to prominence in 2011 when he was approached to play the male lead 'Anant Bajpai' in television show 'Navya..Naye Dhadkan Naye Sawaal' opposite Saumya Seth. As Anant Bajpai, he played a 19-year-old college boy who looks like any other urban boy but deep down he is a traditionalist and a conformist.
The same year, Sheikh was also seen in Disney Channel's show Best Of Luck Nikki in season 1 as Ritesh. In 2012, Sheikh also appeared in the telefilm shown in Star Plus' show Teri Meri Love Stories opposite Mahhi Vij.
Sheikh's biggest acting breakthrough came in 2013 when he signed epic drama Mahabharata with Swastik Productions. Often dubbed as the grandest television projects, Sheikh played one of the prominent roles in the series as warrior Arjuna. Sheikh received tremendous accolades for his performance as Arjuna.
In 2015, Sheikh co-hosted the television talent show Asia's Got Talent with Marc Nelson. He was also featured in a romantic drama, 'Cinta di Langit Taj Mahal' as Reehan Syahputra.
Sheikh made a comeback to Indian television in 2016 with a Sony Tv series 'Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi.' The series was highly acclaimed by the critics and recently it's second part has been launched on the same network.
