Staying and dining in space is soon going to become a reality. US-based Orbital Assembly Corporation, a famous space construction company, is currently working on a space hotel. Once constructed, the hotel will offer vacation to travellers in space. The hotel will be located at the company’s space station Voyager Station and is expected to start operating in 2027.

What’s the space hotel programme
The Orbital Assembly Corporation’s (OAC) motto was to begin and revolutionise the space construction industry. The company was formed in 2019. Their space station called the Voyager Station will have a space hotel with an area of about 124,861 sq ft. The hotel will be able to accommodate 400 guests at a time.
How will it be designed?
According to Orbital Assembly Corporation, the space hotel will have artificial gravity, and to make that happen the place will be structured with an unpressurized central ring. The hotel will also have a docking hub right at the center and outer ring connected via a series of spokes will be around it.

The hotel will produce its own gravity equivalent to one-sixth of the amount on Earth.
Interiors of the space hotel
Operating with the vision of providing home-like comfort in space without taking away from the revolutionary idea, the hotel will have futuristic décor. The 5382 sq ft luxury villas will have the capacity for up to 16 people and it will also comprise a bathroom and kitchen.

Facilities
The ring that
structures the space hotel will be divided into 24 areas. Each of these rings
will have all the luxury facilities such as bars, rooms, restaurants and
fitness facilities, among others.
According to the firm, the
hotel will also have a gym and the module will become a sports area by day, and
by night, it’ll transform into a concert venue.
