Pilavullakandi Thekkeraparambil Usha is a former Indian track and field athlete who was born on June 27, 1964. She was born in Kerala’s Kuthali, Kozhikode. Since 1979, she has been connected to Indian athletics. She has garnered 7 Silver and 4 Asian Gold medals.

Valsamma at the Olympics trials in Delhi to earn a spot in the competition.
