Walt Disney and Co’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of Ten Rings
is the first marvel film led by an Asian Superhero. It ranked as one of the
best debut films in the pandemic, trailing only by Marvel’s previous release “Black
Widow”.

The movie had a theatre exclusive release and will not be
seen on OTT platforms for a while. The film managed to make a big box-office
collection in spite of the circumstances it was released in. The superhero
first appeared in the comics in 1973. Although, Fu Manchu was born a supervillain
he chose to follow a path different from the one his father took. 

The master of unarmed combat joined the Avengers in 2013.
The lead role in the film is played by Chinese-American actor Simu Liu and the
film has been directed by Destin Daniel Cretton with David Callaham as the
screenwriter.

The film has received positive views from the
fans and critics alike. It has been credited with drawing on the rich history
of Asian cinema with lush visuals and rushing emotions.
