Dhokha: Round D Corner is a 2022 crime thriller helmed by director Kookie Gulati. Besides R. Madhavan, the film stars Aparshakti Khurana, Darshan Kumar and Khushalii Kumar.
The film centres on the lives of three characters- a kidnapper, his hostage who suffers from a personality disorder, and the latter’s husband.
Madhavan was recently in the news for his performance in the film Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, which was based on the life of Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) scientist, Nambi Narayanan. The film featured a cameo appearance by Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan. In an interview, Madhavan later said that it was Khan who showed interest in appearing in the film upon hearing its script.
Another of his films, Vikram Vedha, has been adapted into Hindi, which is set to release on September 28. The remake will see Saif Ali Khan and Hrithik Roshan in action. Khan is set to portray the character Madhavan played in the original.
Three Idiots, the Bollywood film starring Madhavan alongside Aamir Khan and Sharman Joshi, won the Best Popular Film Award at the National Film Awards.
The 52-year-old actor is an animal rights activist. He was declared Person of the Year by PETA in 2012.
