Rigid
Answer: Croslite
Founded by Lyndon ‘Duke’ Hanson and George Boedecker Jr in 2002, Crocs went on to acquire the exclusive rights to a foam resin known as Croslite in 2004, marking the beginning of the company’s meteoric rise as a footwear maker.
Prior to Crocs’ acquisition of the rights to Croslite, the closed-cell resin was a proprietary product of Quebec-based Foam Creations.
Croslite, described by third parties as an injection-moulded EVA foam, is the material used to make Crocs clogs and a majority of such foam resin-based products by the company. In addition to being able to mould itself to the shape of users’ feet, the foam resin reportedly also has medical benefits.
