Melbourne
Moscow
Montreal
Munich
Answer: Munich
In the Munich massacre, eight members of the Palestinian terrorist organisation Black September attacked the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, West Germany. After murdering two additional people, they kidnapped nine members of the Israeli Olympic team. The two Palestinian Christian towns whose residents were driven from their homes by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) during the 1948 Arab-Israeli War inspired Black September to name the operation “Iqrit and Biram.”

Afif sought the release of the Red Army Faction founders Andreas Baader and Ulrike Meinhof, who were being detained in West Germany, as well as the 234 Palestinian prisoners of war in Israeli prisons who had just been taken hostage. The botched effort to free the hostages, all of whom were slain, resulted in the deaths of five of the eight Black September members. In the firefight, a police officer from West Germany also perished. The West German government came under fire for the way it handled the issue in general and the way it carried out its rescue operation. Adnan Al-Gashey, Jamal Al-Gashey, and Mohammed Safady were the three still alive culprits who were detained.
