Popular English singer Adele released an album titled 30 on November 19, 2021, by Columbia Records. It was also her first album in six years since 2015 when she released the album 25.
30 was an instant hit internationally and is about a particular phase of the singer, Adele’s life, where she went through divorce, fame, motherhood, heartache, hope and acceptance. It took Adele two years to write the songs for the album between 2019 and 2021.
30 is a pop, soul and jazz album and is often attributed to the singer’s most creative work in her career. Erroll Garner, an American jazz pianist, can be seen in one of its songs, All Night Parking, making a guest appearance. It is also the first time another singer has made an appearance on an album by Adele.
Following its release, 30 received praises from all around the world, including the lyrics. It was also a part of the year-end best albums lists in 2021 of many publications. It has since been considered the best-ever album by the English singer.
The album consists of 12 songs, all between three and seven minutes long. These labels are Strangers by Nature, Easy on Me, My Little Love, Cry Your Heart Out, Oh My God, Can I Get It, I Drink Wine, All Night Parking, Woman Like Me, Hold On, To Be Loved and Love is a Game.
Adele announced two different televised concerts for the US and the UK. For the US, a television special named Adele One Night Only was aired on CBS on November 14, 2021. For the UK, An Audience With Adele was telecasted a week later on November 21 on ITV.
An exclusive interview of Oprah Winfrey was added to the US edition of the concert, which recorded 11.7 million viewers.
