United States President Joe Biden has not yet officially announced if he will run for the 2024 presidential elections. And multiple executives and lawmakers are already starting to plough the field.

With the primary elections already underway and midterms coming up soon, politicians have started to show-off their clout and set the stage for themselves. Bernie Sanders seems to be one of these.

Sanders, an Independent Senator from Vermont, challenged Biden in the 2020 presidential elections too. The progressive legislator has endorsed Summer Lee in the upcoming Pennsylvania primaries and will be rallying alongside her.

Other 2024 hopefuls from the Democratic party include Vice President Kamala Harris, California governor Gavin Newsom, Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, Senator Amy Klobuchar and Senator Elizabeth Warren.

Transport Secretary Pete Buttigieg will be making a rare appearance later this month and will be heading Minnesota’s Democratic annual fundraiser. It is not usual for a cabinet secretary to take part in such activities.

Elizabeth Warren, a progressive Democrat, endorsed Andrea Salinas from Oregon. A likely winner of the Democratic ticket, Salinas may become the first female latina to be elected to the Congress from Oregon.

Newsom recently assailed members of the Democratic party for their messaging on abortion after the Roe v. Wade draft opinion leak from the United States Supreme Court, according to reports NBC News.

On the Republican side, former United States President Donald Trump seems to be the obvious choice for many Senators and Representatives. Trump has also endorsed a flurry of candidates for the primary elections, with some of his bids being successful so far. 

Meanwhile, former Vice President Mike Pence is also expected to run for the 2024 presidential elections. However, he has distanced himself from Trump and has been making short but regular appearances.
