In a video submitted to r/PokemonUnite, one player displays a match where all they can see are the other players. While they are able to walk around, fight, and harvest Aeos energy, as usual, they are unable to see anything on the map. Surprisingly, it appears that the other players in the match were unable to view the person who was experiencing the issue. LordHelmii, the Reddit user who uploaded the video, was able to knock out two opponent players who did not fight back or react in any manner.

The map was not only invisible, but LordHelmii claims that the barriers did not collide.” I didn’t encounter any obstacles on the entire map, I could even leave the map entirely, where three of my teammates seemed to be running around”, they said. The map was not only invisible, but LordHelmii claims that the barriers did not collide. “I didn’t meet any barriers across the area, and I could even exit the map altogether, where three of my colleagues appeared to be running about,” they claimed. Their ability to score goals was also hindered due to an inability to see the button prompt while they were standing where one would show on the map.

This isn’t the first time the new live service has been plagued by a game-breaking issue. Goals scored in the closing stretch of a contest aren’t being tallied, despite the fact that it’s an important period in the game. In one case posted on the Pokemon Unite subreddit, a player was extremely irritated to discover that they had gained enough points for their team to win the battle, but they were not tallied for some unexplained reason, resulting in a defeat.

Hopefully, these issues will be worked out in time for Pokemon Unite’s mobile debut on September 22nd. Switch users will be able to move to this new platform and carry over any progress they’ve made, as well as play against anyone, regardless of which version they’re using.
