Legendary guitarist Carlos Santana, 74, collapsed and fainted in the middle of his performance at the Pine Knob Music Theatre in Clarkston, Michigan, United States on Tuesday.

He is currently in the US for his tour- Miraculous Supernatural 2022 Tour: Santana + Earth, Wind & Fire. According to reports, Santana was just about 20 minutes into his set, playing his song ‘Joy’ when this mishap occurred, and images and videos are already circulating on social media showing his team and medical personnel rushing to him and taking him off-stage.

The medical team reportedly performed first-aid on him for about 20 minutes, and a black tarp was used to partially conceal him.The veteran musician was then rushed to a nearby hospital’s emergency department where he was placed under observation. 

“Ladies and gentlemen as you can see, we have a severe medical emergency,” the venue staff reportedly announced to the audience. “Let’s share our prayers; we need them right now. Please send your light and love to this man.”

Fans will be relieved to know that the Mexican legend was back in his senses by the time he was carried off the stage on a stretcher, even waving to the audience as he was taken off. 

His manager Michael Vrionis later placated the fears of agitated fans by announcing that the musician was doing well again. Santana himself took to Twitter to assure everyone of his well-being, saying that he suffered dehydration because he ‘forgot to eat and drink water’ and thanked the fans for their love and prayers.

As a precautionary measure, Santana’s upcoming concert on 6th July in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania has been postponed to a later date until further notice, his manager announced. 

Santana’s Miraculous Supernatural Tour still has 21 tour dates to run, all the way through August-end, after which he is expected to return to Vegas for his residency at the House of Blues.
