In a video posted on social media, a man who claims to be a Walmart said that the store’s manager came into the break room and started shooting people there.
“We lost a few of our associates,” he added.
The incident occurred two days before the US is going to celebrate Thanksgiving. It follows another mass shooting at an LGBTQ club in Colorado late Saturday that left five people dead.
A witness told Fox 3 that the alleged suspect has been identified as Andre Bing. He was found dead at the scene.
The witness added that Bing was the nigh shift manager at the Walmart store. The 31-year-old shot a lady in her head then shot another man in his head.
However, police are yet to confirm the identity and the cause of the alleged shooter’s death.

“We’re only a few hours into the response, so we don’t have all the answers yet. Chesapeake Police continue their investigation into the active shooter event at Walmart on Sam’s Circle. We do know there are multiple fatalities plus injuries and the shooter is confirmed dead,” the city of Chesapeake said.
Virginia Senator L Louis Lucas tweeted: “I am absolutely heartbroken that America’s latest mass shooting took place in a Walmart in my district in Chesapeake, Virginia tonight. I will not rest until we find the solutions to end this gun violence epidemic in our country that has taken so many lives.”
