Cleffa is a tiny, pink Pokémon with a slightly star-like
form. It has totally brown ears. Cleffa has a tiny mouth, two small black eyes,
and a small, permanent blush on its cheeks. It has stubby arms and legs that
come to a point and have no distinct fingers. It has a curled-up tail and a
curl on its forehead.

Cleffa is a mountainous creature who dwells near meteor
impact sites. Cleffa sightings are more frequent on nights lit by shooting
stars, when they dance the night away, bringing good fortune to anybody who
witnesses it.

They sip dew the next morning to relieve their thirst.
Anything that resembles stars and meteors, such as Minior, fascinates it.
Cleffa is said to have come on a shooting star because of this, as well as its
own star-shaped silhouette. The anime revealed that Cleffa’s evolved forms (and
hence Cleffa) are alien Pokémon.
