Singer Harry Styles‘ show scheduled for Sunday in Denmark has been called off by the law enforcement authorities. At least three people were killed in a shooting hours before the show.

It was previously reported that it will be business as usual at the nearby Royal Arena, however, the show was eventually called off. PA News Agency previously noted that the show is expected to go ahead as law enforcement in the area has indicated to organisers they are safely permitted to do so.

Shortly after the concert was cancelled, the former One Direction star wrote on Snapchat, “My team and I pray for everyone involved in the Copenhagen shopping mall shooting. I am shocked.”

What about refunds?

Entertainment company Live Nation said that the next steps are still being figured out as the situation unfolds. The statement read, “We are looking into future possibilities for the show, and hope to be able to give ticket buyers direct information as soon as possible”, according to The Independent. 

Large crowds had already gathered outside the Royal Arena in Denmark’s national capital on Sunday evening before the police order called off the show.

Harry Styles on gun violence

Harry Styles, who was completing his ‘Love On Tour’ that was interrupted by COVID, has previously spoken out on gun violence. Like many celebrities, the 28-year-old lashed out on social media after the Uvalde school shooting, which resulted in the death of more than 20 people.

Styles wrote, “Along with all of you, I have been absolutely devasted by the recent string of mass shootings in America, culminating at the latest in Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas.” 

He added, “On our North American Tour, we will be partnering with Everytown who work to end gun violence, donating to support their efforts and sharing their suggested action items.”
