Katy Perry came at the King Charles III coronation ceremony dressed from head to toe in lavender, complete with matching opera gloves from Vivienne Westwood. She completed the ensemble with a gorgeous white handbag, matching heels, and an oversized fascinator embellished with white pearls.

The singer certainly was not cutting corners on the accessories, donning a traditional three-tiered pearl choker necklace by Vivienne Westwood and donning a pair of regal evening gloves. The gorgeous choker, also known as the “Triple-row faux-pearl orb pendant choker,” which is a cult favorite among Gen Z fashion enthusiasts and costs £400, has been worn by Dua Lipa, Janelle Monae, Bella Hadid, and Kylie Jenner.

The expensive jewelry is reminiscent of a choker worn by the late Queen Elizabeth II. Since the Queen’s death, The Princess of Wales has held down the fort in terms of pearls, frequently donning the Queen’s exquisite four-tier pearl necklace for official royal occasions. Princess Diana, her late mother-in-law, also wore the necklace at one point.

Perry was not the only one paying tribute to Diana, the late Princess’s daughter-in-law and the Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton did her part too.

The Princess of Wales wore a pair of Diana’s pearl and diamond earrings throughout the procession and ceremony. They were one of Diana’s favorite sets and have been seen on her numerous times previously.

Before she was made Princess of Wales, Collingwood, a favorite of the Spencer family’s, gave the earrings to Princess Diana as a present. They were given to her in advance of her 1981 nuptials to Prince Charles. They have a bell cap set with a pearl drop and three further rows of smaller diamonds, as well as a round diamond stud with a second round diamond hanging from it.
