Former US President Donald Trump’s social media venture ‘Truth Social’ is set for a launch on Monday, Reuters reported. Citing posts from an executive on a test version, the report added that the application will be released only on the Apple App Store. 

‘Truth Social’ will mark Trump’s return to social media. The 45th US President was banned from Twitter, Facebook and Alphabet Inc’s YouTube following the January 6, 2021 US Capitol attack.

In a series of posts on Friday, as per Reuters, ‘Truth Social’s’ chief product officer Billy B, while answering questions on the app said that it would be released to the public. 

“We’re currently set for release in the Apple App store for Monday February 21,” the executive responded to a question.

Donald Trump Jr, the eldest son of the former president, had posted screenshots of his father’s @realDonaldTrump Truth Social account. “Get Ready! Your favorite President will see you soon!” he said.

Screenshots obtained by Reuters show that the app is now at version 1.0, suggesting it has reached a level ready for public release. 

‘Truth Social’ is led by former Republican U.S. Representative Devin Nunes of the Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG).
