Elon Musk has proclaimed his love for the action role-playing game ‘Elden Ring‘, saying that the game experienced in its entirety, “is the most beautiful art” he’s ever seen.

When asked about Musk’s build and playing style, the entrepreneur replied that he goes with “Power mage” but is also decent with a sword or katana in the game. The 50-year-old noted he’d post a picture of his build the next day.

Developed by FromSoftware, and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment, the game is open-world, and allows a third-person perspective. An evolution of the ‘Souls’ game, ‘Elden Ring’ has received critical acclaim but remains just as frustratingly difficult as its ancestors, personally speaking.

Coming to Musk’s high praise, the game’s fantasy elements come from George RR Martin who provided materials for the game’s setting. Martin’s works led to HBO’s ‘Game of Thrones‘, so ‘Elden Ring’ has had a master at the helm.

The game is set after the titular ring shatters, and players must travel the lands to become an Elden Lord. Including aspects such as crafting, summoning, horseback riding, combat, and casting spells, ‘Elden Ring’ is an immersive experience marked by rich visuals and subtle guidance in the game.

Musk’s love for video games is no secret, and over the years, the billionaire has shown an inclination toward action titles with a dystopic setting. Consider releases like ‘Bioshock’ and ‘Saints Row IV’, which all happen to be among the Tesla and SpaceX CEO’s favourites.

It is also a little known fact that Musk has some video game industry experience. At the age of 12, his game ‘Blastar’ was published in the South African ‘PC and Office Technology’ magazine in 1984. Musk then went on to work for Rocket Science Games in 1994, as per YouTuber Scott Manley, before he eventually got his jumpstart at PayPal, which Musk co-founded with Peter Thiel
