Elon Musk, Tesla and SpaceX CEO, has lashed out at the media again after Wall Street Journal reported news of his affair with Nicole Shanahan, wife of Google co-founder Sergey Brin

Musk said, “The media is a click-seeking machine dressed up as a truth-seeking machine”.

Earlier, while denying the affair, he’d called out WSJ saying they often did hit pieces without any truth, and the world’s richest man also noted that there was nothing romantic between him and Shanahan. At the time, Musk had said “haven’t even had sex in ages“.

Just a couple of days before, the world’s richest man commented that the “amount of attention” on him had gone “supernova”, before saying he’d keep his head down and be “focused on doing useful things for civilization.”

The 51-year-old lamented at the time that even “trivial articles” about him led to a lot of clicks. True to his promise to think about civilization and its future, Musk also put out a series of tweets, seeking a new philosophy for the future.

He said, “A new philosophy of the future is needed. I believe it should be curious about the Universe – expand humanity to become a multiplanet, then interstellar, species to see what’s out there.”

Musk added, “This is compatible with existing religions – surely God would want us to see Creation?”

The innovator has remained a polarizing figure, dominating the news waves with his tweets on politics, population, and cryptocurrency.

Musk has recently also been in the spotlight over the Twitter purchase. He’d made a $44 billion offer, initially, but then backed out of the deal over a disagreement on disclosing the number of bots on the platform.

While addressing the issue of the affair, Musk told New York Post that contrary to accounts of him taking a knee in front of Brin to apologize for the affair, he’d actually only get down on his knee if he were proposing marriage.
