Elon Musk, Tesla and SpaceX CEO, reportedly had an affair with Google co-founder Sergey Brin’s wife, Nicole Shanahan, as per the Wall Street Journal.
The publication also reported that Musk and Brin were close friends but the affair terminated the relationship and prompted the 48-year-old to file for a divorce from Shanahan.
WSJ further stated that Musk reportedly asked Brin for an apology at a party, earlier this year. However, the world’s richest man has contradicted this account of events, saying “This is total bs. Sergey and I are friends and were at a party together last night! I’ve only seen Nicole twice in three years, both times with many other people around. Nothing romantic.”
Musk, who was reportedly separated from his on-again-off-again girlfriend Grimes, at the time, also replied “Haven’t even had sex in ages (sigh)”.

A Twitter user asked, “damn not even on the vacation?”, to which the 51-year-old entrepreneur replied “nope”. Reports in May suggested that Musk had been vacationing with his then-girlfriend Natasha Bassett at St Tropez, France.
Musk then turned his attention to the news outlet, saying “WSJ has run so many bs hit pieces on me and Tesla I’ve lost count! It’s embarrassing for them, frankly. They once wrote an article saying FBI was about to arrest me, so I called FBI to ask what’s up and they said WSJ article was total bs. Just more shortseller fud.”

When asked by an account going by Tesla Owners Silicon Valley what can be done about this, the South African innovator continued, “Call them out on it, I guess. WSJ is supposed to have a high standard for journalism and, right now, they are way sub tabloid. WSJ should be running stories that actually matter to their readers and have solid factual basis, not third-party random hearsay.”
