Playmaker Kevin De Bruyne and forward Eden Hazard‘s selection for the quarter-final game will be a last-minute call, Belgium’s coach Roberto Martinez said. The Red Devils face Italy in the last-eight tie of Euro 2020 on Friday.

Martinez’s men are likely to get into the Allianz Arena, Munich without Eden Hazard, who has a soft tissue problem, and De Bruyne because of a ligament issue.

“We are fighting against time. We are going to take until the last minute to make the decision. We’ll see tomorrow if they will be involved or not. Tomorrow, it will be a medical decision in the afternoon and then we’ll make a football decision after that,” Martinez said.

The two hobbled off the field during Belgium’s 1-0 last-16 win over Portugal last weekend.

The quarter-final game is a match-up between one of the best defenses (Italy) and attack (Belgium) of the tournament. Roberto Mancini’s side has conceded only one goal at Euro 2020 so far. Belgium, on the other hand, have scored eight goals.
