Gunfire and explosions heard near the acting defence minister’s house in downtown Kabul on Tuesday. Earlier, an explosion was reported near his house at around 8pm, reported ANI quoting TOLONews.
According to Reuters, a senior security official said the blast appeared to have been caused by a car bomb and the apparent target was the residence of a member of parliament.
So far six people have been injured, tweeted city’s Emergency Hospital. No militant group has claimed the responsibility of the attack yet.
With date of US troops withdrawal approaching, Taliban has started clashes with Afghan forces. They have started gaining control over check points, trading posts and infrastructure projects.
