Ousted Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday broke the record of hosting the highest number of participants in a single Twitter Space, his party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) said in a tweet. 

“Congrats Pakistan! Chairman PTI Imran Khan’s space session is the top space in terms of participants in Twitter’s history!” Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf wrote in a tweet.

The party claimed that at the highest point, 1,65,000 people were present in Imran Khan’s Twitter Space. CEO and Editor at Global Village Space, an anchor at 92 News Moeed Pirzada in a video posted on PTI’s Twitter page said that the global reach of the former Pakistan PM’s Space was about 23 million. 

“Chairman Imran Khan’s Twitter space session was a huge event which was attended by a record number of Twitter users and it was a tooth-breaking reply that no bots are conscious human beings,” the caption of the video read.

Anchor Imran Riaz Khan said, “Imran Khan has set a world record in the history of Twitter space session. He is undoubtedly the most emerging leader in the world in terms of followers.”

What did Imran Khan say on Twitter Space?

Khan held the event on Wednesday night. He alleged that “some elements” in the establishment indulged in “bad practices” and were responsible for his ouster.

Imran Khan lost the no-confidence vote in Pakistan’s National Assembly. He was then replaced by opposition leader Shehbaz Sharif. 

 “There are also humans in institutions. If one or two individuals do something wrong, the entire institution is not responsible. If one person [in an apparent reference to Army chief Gen Bajwa] makes a mistake, this does not mean that the whole institution is at fault,” Imran Khan had said on his Twitter Space on Wednesday.
