Manchester United has been trying to remould their team in the upcoming transfer window. Ranked 8th on the EPL point ladder, Manchester United recently sacked Ole Gunnar Solskjaer against the backdrop of the club’s 4-1 defeat at Watford.

On Monday, Ralf Rangnick , known as Professor of Football, has been appointed interim manager of Manchester United. Rangnick enjoyed two spells in charge of RB Leipzig, the highlight of which was leading the club into the semifinal finish in the Champions League in the 2019-20 season.

As the German gets on board he would definitely like to sign a few in-form players from RB Leipzig in the upcoming transfer window.

Here are four players he could target…

Willi Orban

The experienced centre-back has been RB
Leipzig’s backbone in the club’s recent outstanding performance in Bundesliga,
and Manchester United need someone who could lead their backline which is at
the moment leaky.

The 29-year-old joined Leipzig in 2015 and
had been tipped to leave the Red Bull Arena until he signed an extension to his
current deal keeping him at the club until 2025.

Tyler Adams

The 22-year-old defensive midfielder earned
his name in the Major League Soccer (MLS) with New York Red Bulls, making his
debut for the club in 2016. RB Leipzig signed him for £2 million in 2019 to
bring him back to Germany.

He has since made 80 appearances for the
club, playing against both Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain in the
Champions League this season.

Adams is also a regular player in the
United States team, having played 21 times for his country.

Manchester United’s turbulence in the
central midfield is well documented, and the signing of Adams would bring some
much-needed relief to that area.

Lukas Klostermann

The German right-back joined RB Leipzig
back in 2014 and has been an integral part of the club since then.

With Aaron Wan-Bissaka out of form since
his arrival from Crystal Palace, a player of Klostermann’s calibre would no
doubt strengthen United’s sloppy defence.

The 25-year-old has also played for Germany
and is comfortable at centre-back, providing extra cover if needed. Klostermann
is known for his pace and dynamism.

Andre Silva

Manchester United currently have an ageing
attacking set-up, with 36-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo and Edinson Cavani
marshalling the attack. Considering that 26-year-old Andre Silva will be a
valuable inclusion in Manchester United’s forward line.

The Portugal national team player enjoyed a
truly remarkable season for Eintracht Frankfurt last season, finishing second
top scorer in the Bundesliga with 28 goals.

Silva moved to the Red Bull Arena this
summer and is likely to leave Leipzig soon if he replicates his sensational
form from last season.

Though scoring goals is not an issue for
Manchester United, a long-term replacement for Ronaldo and Cavani will be
needed and Silva could well fit the bill.
