Gold prices were unchanged on Friday, preparing for a weekly increase after more than a month. The US dollar fell from a two-decade high, as rising fears about US economic growth boosted safe-haven demand.

Gold prices on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) increased marginally on Friday, May 20, 2022. Gold futures were trading at Rs 50,655.00 per 10 gm, up 111 points or 0.22%, in the Indian market. Silver futures were trading at Rs 61,715.00 per kg, up 151 points or 0.25%.

In global markets, gold was priced at $1,846.70 per oz while Silver is priced at $22.00. Platinum was trading at $964.46 while palladium was trading at $2,021.69. 

In the spot market, the 22-carat gold was sold at Rs 46,425 per 10 grams while silver was priced at Rs 61,087 per kg on Thursday according to the Indian Bullion and Jewellers Association.

Copper futures were trading at Rs 775.00 up 0.77% while Natural Gas and Aluminium futures were trading at Rs 635.10 and Rs 246.30 per Kg respectively on MCX. 

Ten grams of 22-carat gold is being purchased and sold for Rs 46,310 in Mumbai, Kolkata, and New Delhi, according to the Good Returns website. In Chennai, the same amount of valuable yellow metal costs Rs 47,560.

The 24-carat gold prices, 10 grams of the precious metal costs Rs 50,520 in Mumbai, New Delhi, and Kolkata. In Chennai, the same amount of 24-carat purity costs Rs 51,880.

Ten grams of 22-carat gold costs Rs 46,370 and Rs 46,460 in Vadodara and Lucknow, respectively. A similar amount of 24-carat purity is worth Rs 50,580 in Vadodara and Rs 50,660 in Lucknow.

Ten grams of 22-carat gold costs Rs 46,310 in Hyderabad, Kerala, and Bengaluru. The same quantity of 22-carat purity may be obtained for Rs 46,310 in Mysore, Mangalore, and Vishakhapatnam. In all of the following places, ten grams of 24-carat gold is worth Rs 50,520.

Ten grams of 22-carat gold costs Rs 46,460 and Rs 47,560 in Jaipur and Madurai, respectively. A similar amount of 24-carat purity costs Rs 50,660 in Jaipur and Rs 51,880 in Madurai.

Ten grams of 22-carat gold costs Rs 46,370 in Nagpur and Rs 46,390 in Surat. The same amount of 24-carat purity costs Rs 50,590 in Nagpur and Rs 50,600 in Surat.
