Gold was trading flat in the domestic market, with little gains, bucking the trend in the foreign market, where the metal was trading lower.

However, the US dollar’s gains have retreated marginally, dampening demand for the yellow metal. However, benchmark US 10-year treasury rates have fallen, capping losses in zero-yield gold.

Gold prices on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) increased marginally on Tuesday, May 24, 2022. Gold futures were trading at Rs 51,020.00 per 10 gm, up 113 points or 0.22%, in the Indian market. Silver futures were trading at Rs 61,532.00 per kg, up 229 points or 0.37%.

In global markets, gold was priced at $1,855.19 per oz while Silver is priced at $21.81. Platinum was trading at $952.76 while palladium was trading at $1,993.67.

In the spot market, the 22-carat gold was sold at Rs 50,090 per 10 grams while silver was priced at Rs 62,206 per kg on Monday according to the Indian Bullion and Jewellers Association.  

Copper futures were trading at Rs 777.35 down 0.62% while Natural Gas and Aluminium futures were trading at Rs 687.10 and Rs 246.05 per Kg respectively on MCX.

According to the Good Returns website, ten grams of 22-carat gold can be purchased in Mumbai, New Delhi, and Kolkata for Rs 47,150. In Chennai, the same amount of valuable yellow gold is being offered for Rs 48,370.

In New Delhi, Kolkata, and Mumbai, ten grams of 24-carat gold costs Rs 51,430. In Chennai, the same quantity of 24-carat purity is being marketed for Rs 52,760.

Ten grams of 22-carat gold costs Rs 47,250 and Rs 47,200 in Patna and Surat, respectively. The same amount of 24-carat purity costs Rs 51,480 in Patna and Rs 51,500 in Surat.

Ten grammes of 22-carat gold costs Rs 47,150 in places like Hyderabad, Kerala, and Bengaluru. The same quantity of 22-carat purity can be purchased for Rs 47,150 in Mysore, Mangalore, and Vishakhapatnam. However, ten grams of 24-carat gold is valued at Rs 51,430 in all of the following places.

Ten grams of 22-carat gold costs Rs 47,300 and Rs 47,250 in Chandigarh and Nashik, respectively. The same amount of 24-carat purity is sold for Rs 51,580 in Chandigarh and Rs 51,480 in Nashik.
