The Guinness World Records has released a video of James Goss from the United Kingdom who broke the record for most number of face piercings in February 2022.
James Goss has previously held a record of 14 piercings, breaking the record of 11 piercings achieved by Joel Miggler from Germany in 2020. The record maker has a total of 15 piercings.
As reported by Guinness World Records, Goss has 15 piercings in total, one flesh tunnel above his upper lip, two piercings in his nostrils, corners of his mouth and cheeks and four tunnels under his bottom lip.
In the Instagram video shared by the official handle of Guinness World Records, James is shown passing a ribbon through his flesh tunnels, playing with chopsticks passing through them and inserting his fingers in the piercings. The video has more than 371,296 views and 13,989 likes.

The video has created discourse among Internet users. One user commented, “There is only one question. Why?”. Other comments include, “What makes people think doing this to their face is a good idea?” One viewer jokingly wrote, “So uh.. how does he eat?”
Goss has been interested in tattoos and piercings since he was a teenager. He opted for his first piercing at the age of 13. “I had a crush on a girl, and she wanted to do it so I let her,” he told Guinness World Records. A piercing at the age of 14 got him infected and he was taken to hospital. After that he has always been careful about piercings.
