Potterheads are in for a treat. HBO Max has released a trailer for the much-awaited Harry Potter Return to Hogwarts. In the trailer, Daniel Radcliffe, who plays the protagonist Harry Potter in the film franchise, is seen walking in the isolated Diagon Alley. Radcliffe then reunites with his two best buddies, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint, who play the characters of Hermoine Granger and Ron Weasley in the popular film series. Other cast members are seen as well in the nearly 2-minute-long trailer.

 On YouTube, the trailer has amassed more than 3.8 million views in just about 14 hours of its release.

The iconic trailer also shows The Great Hall of Hogwarts as the background of the reunion. The classic Hogwarts Express is also seen in a snippet. The trailer has Harry Potter themed background music and powerful voice overs. The cast is seen reminiscing the old times, getting along, and sharing old memories and laughs together. Emma is seen hugging Tom Felton, who portrayed the character of Draco Malfoy. Emma  says, “It feels like no time has passed and loads of time has passed.”

 The trailer also shows snippets of the cast being interviewed. The actors have shared their experiences in the HBO event. Ralph Fiennes, who spectacularly played Voldemort, also shared his experience of being confused whether to play the character or not. He then said that many kids from his family asked him to play the character.

 According to Emma, in difficult times, Harry Potter is a perfect escape, and it makes life richer. Emma is then seen tearing up a bit after Rupert expresses how the cast is one big family who have a lot of love for its members.

Harry Potter fans seem to have loved the trailer, with some of them describing their initial reactions to it. One fan shared that he had his mouth wide open with awe for the upcoming event.

 The event will stream globally on January 1, 2022, making it a perfect New Year’s day for many Harry Potter fans.
