As per media reports, clashes between Wagner PMC Group and the Russian military are reportedly going on in the Pavlovsk District of the Voronezh Region along the M-4 Highway.

However, It is crucial to recognize that this area is located nearly 216 miles from Rostov-on-Don, which presently seems to be under the Wagner Group’s control.
Several Twitter users reacted to the escalating situation.. One user tweeted, “I’ve made the drive from Rostov to Moscow at least a dozen times. Voronezh is more than halfway to Moscow. If reports of Wagner fighting in Voronezh are accurate, then they are hours away from Moscow.”
Recently, the influential mercenary outfit Wagner’s head, Yevgeny Prigozhin, has been accused by the Russian government of orchestrating an armed rebellion, and an arrest warrant has been issued for him.
In the recent update, reports from the state media claimed that the Wagner forces have taken possession of the Southern Military District building in Rostov, raising security precautions across Moscow. The Ministry of Internal Affairs’ main office, the Rostov administration, the FSB division, and one of the police departments are among the significant structures that the Wagner troops now control in Rostov.

Security forces in Moscow have been put on high alert in reaction to the heightened tensions and recent incidents. Government buildings, transportation hubs, and other significant areas throughout the city have increased security measures.
The tussle between the Wagner Group and the Russian military surfaced after he was accused of promoting an armed uprising with an aim to oust Sergei Shoigu, Russia’s defense minister. The strong accusations made against Prigozhin prompted the probe citing national security.

Situations escalated after Yevgeny Prigozhin made serious allegations against the Russian military, accusing them plotted and carrying out a deadly assault on his soldiers. He pointed out defense minister Sergei Shoigu in particular, saying that Shoigu gave the order to launch rockets into Wagner’s sites in Ukraine, where his forces were allegedly fighting for Russia.
