Prince Harry, in an attempt to provide comfort to those who have lost a loved one in the pandemic, shared his own story with the masses who still mourn their loss. In the foreword of ‘Hospitals by the Hill’, Prince Harry wrote about his struggle in dealing with the death of his mother Princess Diana in 1997.
‘Hospital by the Hill’ is a book, authored by Chris Connaughton, aimed at providing comfort to the bereaved and give advice and guidance to those who seek it.
The message of understanding given by the Duke of Sussex begins by acknowledging the struggles faced by the family and friends of those who did not survive the deadly pandemic. It reads, “If you are reading this book, it’s because you’ve lost your parent or a loved one, and while I wish I was able to hug you right now, I hope this story is able to provide you comfort in knowing that you’re not alone”, reported CNN.

The hopeful words then pivot towards his own story, where he shares his ways of dealing with the death of her mother, the Princess of Wales. He wrote, “We all cope with loss in a different way, but when a parent goes to heaven, I was told their spirit, their love and the memories of them do not. They are always with you and you can hold onto them forever. I find this to be true.”
Prince Harry, who has been in conversation on social media platforms after his controversial interview with Oprah Winfrey earlier this month, is likely to join his brother, Prince Williams, at Kensington Gardens, London, where a statue of Diana is all set to be unveiled in July. This meeting will be the first public appearance the two brothers would make after Harry and his wife Meghan Markle moved to the United States after giving up their royal titles, reported CNN.
However, this is not the first instance of Prince Harry has openly spoken about his mental health after the demise of Princess Diana, who tragically died in a car crash. According to CNN, He revealed that he took professional counseling on the advice of his brother in a 2017 podcast conduct by a British newspaper.

“I can safely say that losing my mum at the age of 12 and therefore shutting down all of my emotions for the last 20 years has had a quite serious effect on not only my personal life but also my work as well. Then I started to have a few conversations and then, all of a sudden, all of this grief that I’d never processed came to the forefront. I was like, there’s actually a lot of stuff here I need to deal with”, reported CNN.
