The United Kingdom is celebrating Queen Elizabeth II’s 70 years on the throne this year. The Platinum Jubilee celebrations were marked over four days in the country, with huge crowds assembling outside the Buckingham Palace just to get a glimpse of the monarch.

Queen Elizabeth II’s wardrobe is known to be one of the influential — with the new trends starting every time she made a public appearance.

From her tiaras, hats and Hermes scarves to her Launer London handbags and even her umbrellas, the queen’s style has been hyper-documented since her birth, young princess days, ascension to the throne and now, more than 70 years into her reign, as she celebrates her Platinum Jubilee at age 96.

The Queen slowly transitioned towards wearing block colours as she grew older. She is now known to wear bright coloured coats with matching brimmed hats.
