The Buckingham Palace has revealed a stunning invitation to the coronation ceremony of King Charles III and Queen Camilla, which is set to take place on May 6, 2023. The invitation card is a beautiful white card, designed by Andrew Jamieson, a heraldic artist and manuscript illuminator. The card is hand-painted with watercolor and gouache illustrations, featuring flowers and symbols that refer to the royal family bordering the card from all four sides. The letter is printed on recycled paper, which aligns with King Charles’ lifelong commitment to leading a sustainable life.

King Charles’ coronation is a state event, and the government controls the guest list. In addition to members of the royal family, the prime minister, representatives from the Houses of Parliament, heads of state, and other royals from around the world are expected to attend. Venue

Westminster Abbey has been confirmed as the venue for the coronation ceremony, in keeping with the tradition of crowning monarchs at the Abbey, where every King or Queen since 1066 has been crowned, including Queen Elizabeth II. The Archbishop of Canterbury will officiate the ceremony, which will feature two processions to and from the Abbey, culminating in an appearance on the balcony of Buckingham Palace.
