There was no love lost between the two as a
fiery debate saw them continuously exchange barbs while also tearing into each
other’s arguments over a number of issues ranging from the coronavirus
pandemic, the economic stress, healthcare plans, racial unrest, among
others.

Here is a look at how Twitter reacted to
the television extravaganza:

One user said that the debate showed how Trump “debases us all”.

“The debate was Exhibit A in how Trump debases us all. Tens of millions of people tuned in. It was a golden opportunity for public education. Instead, the president gave us lies and cacophony,” he tweeted.

One user took special note of the multiple interruptions during Biden’s speech by Trump, suggesting that the debate moderator should have the option to mute a speaker’s mic if he speaks out of turn.

Another user said he disagreed with the argument that Trump interrupted too much.

“Joe Biden clearly demonstrated that he does not have the “Temperament “ to be President,” a user tweeted.

Another user called out Biden for having “never denounced violent left wing extremist groups like BLM and Antifa”.

“Trump has denounced white supremacists many times. Biden has never denounced violent left wing extremist groups like BLM and Antifa. In fact, he has explicitly defended them and parroted their talking points.” he tweeted

Users seem to have taken special note of Biden’s “will you shut-up man,” remark. Here a few tweets mentioning the comment:
