The six-time Ballon D’or winner and Argentina captain Lionel Messi
is set to make his home debut for Paris Saint-Germain against domestic rivals Lyon
at the Parc Des Princes on Sunday (local time).

Kylian Mbappe’s presence in the starting line-up is a doubt after
the golden boy picked up a small knock in the mid-week Champions League group
stage draw against Club Brugge. However, coach Mauricio Pochettino cleared the
air and revealed in his pre-match conference that Kylian trained with the group.
He said, “Yes, he (Mbappe) trained with the group
with some precautions, we are happy with the evolution of his injury. We
will see how he is tomorrow morning to know if he will be in the group tomorrow.”

Messi has featured in two games for his new club,
playing his first full match in for the French giants in a 1-1 UCL group stage
draw against Club Brugge. Pochettino has revealed that the marquee signing is ready,
calm and excited to be able to put his talents on display in his new home.

PSG have been in good form in the league, winning all
of their first five fixtures and comfortably sit on top of the league table.
While Lyon have also been in good form, winning three consecutive games.

A player that the PSG fans are eagerly waiting for is Spanish
international Sergio Ramos. He is yet to make his debut in Paris colours. There
is no information upon his availability yet and the player continues to recover
on his own. He joined the French giants on a free transfer from Real Madrid.

While PSG’s attack seems set, they can certainly use
some improvements defensively and Ramos’s addition in the starting line-up will
be a major addition for the side. Marco Verratti is also unavailable for the
clash against Lyon while Angel Di Maria is back from suspension.
