A wax figure of Boris Johnson was placed outside a job-centre as the Prime Minister resigned as Tory leader, according to the Independent. People posed with the waxwork, created by Madame Tussauds Blackpool, positioned outside a Jobcentre Plus in Lancashire town.

Johnson announced on July 7 that he will be resigning as the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. The day the announcement was made the wax museum in Blackpool trolled him. The museum first updated its display of the PM’s office at 10 Downing Street with a “vacancy” sign, and then put the wax statue outside it.

The wax statue depicts Johnson’s hand on his hips and his signature hair. The statue at the Madame Tussauds Blackpool was unveiled two months ago. Madame Tussauds confirmed to Metro newspaper that the statue will be removed from display when Johnson is replaced, but it could take months.

Amusing pictures of the waxwork of Johnson grinning at the “vacancy” sign are doing rounds on social media. Over the past two days, more than 50 Tories and several of Johnson’s cabinet members quit over issues with his leadership. “I want you to know how sad I am to be giving up the best job in the world. But them’s the breaks,” Johnson said.
