In the trailer, Prince Adam transforms into He-Man, leaving his
pals befuddled. Adam is exposed to the conquering evil Skeletor before he even
has time to properly comprehend his newfound abilities. Their mission is to
free Eternia and its people from Skeletor’s tyranny. Both
sides, Skeletor and He-Man, are armed with enchanted power weapons, laying the
groundwork for future confrontations.

The show is produced by Mattel
Television, with executive producers Adam Bonnett, Christopher Keenan, and
Revelation’s Rob David, as well as David acting as showrunner.

It will be released next month, on September 16th.

He-Man and the Masters of the Universe is the second of two
He-Man-related Netflix shows in development. The first is the anime series Masters
of the Universe: Revelation, directed by Kevin Smith and drawn by Powerhouse
Animation, which will premiere in August 2020.

While Revelation is a
continuation of the old animation, the new He-Man and the Masters of the
Universe is a reboot, with fresh designs for familiar characters and themes.
Another difference between the two shows is their animation techniques, with
Revelation being conventional and He-Man being 3D.

classic characters in a way that appeals to kids and families today, while also
resonating with the fans who grew up with them.”
