Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, will be visiting the UK and Germany early in September as part of their charity engagements, according to Newsweek.

Their visit will be the first time that the couple will be returning to the country since the attended the Platinum Jubilee Celebrations for Queen Elizabeth II in June.

A spokesperson for the couple told Newsweek that the “Duke and Duchess of Sussex are delighted to visit several charities close to their hearts in September.”

The duo will be visiting Europe from September 5 to September 8, which will include visiting two charities based in the UK as well as attending the 2023 Invictus Games, a Paralympic-styled sporting event meant for servicemen and woman of the British Armed Forces wounded in the line of duty. This year’s Games will be held in Dusseldorf, Germany. 

Prince Harry helped launch the Invictus Games in 2014 and has been attending the event with Markle since 2016, ever since their relationship became public. 

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will begin their tour in the city of Manchester in Britain where they will attend the One Young World 2022 summit. Markle has been associated with the organisation, which aims to make young people empowered leaders in their communities, since before she met Prince Harry. 

In previous iterations of the summit, Markle has been a counsellor, in the 2014 summit in Dublin, in the 2016 version of the summit in Ottawa and was a part of the opening ceremony of the summit, which was held in 2019 in London

The duo will attend the One Young World Summit 2022 on September 5 in Manchester, after which they will fly off to Dusseldorf, Germany to attend the Invictus Games. They will be back in the UK on September 8 to visit the WellChild Awards 2022 before finally flying back to the United States.
