Queen Elizabeth II is reportedly under medical supervision after doctors at Buckingham palace expressed concerns over her health. After the news of her illness broke, concerns poured in from all corners of her country, including from the newly elected PM of UK, Liz Truss. Sources at Buckingham palace suggested that the longest-serving monarch is suffering from age-related illnesses.

Family members of the Queen have gathered at the Balmoral castle in Scotland where she is presently undergoing treatment.

Queen Elizabeth II was born on April 21, 1926, and she is 96 years old as of 2022. Her full name is Elizabeth Alexandra Mary and she is the first child of the former Duke and Duchess of York – King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. She was accessed to the throne of England in 1952 and has been serving as the monarch since then.

She married Prince Phillip of Greece and Denmark on November 20, 1947, at the Westminister Abbey. Her first child, Charles, the king of Wales, was born the next year on November 14, 1948. 

Subsequently, three more children were born to Queen Elizabeth – Anne, Princess Royal, Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, and Prince Edward, the Earl of Essex.

She has seven grandchildren, the most famous of whom is Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, and Prince Willian, the Duke of Cambridge. Zara Tindall, her grandchild from Anne, Princess Royal, is an equestrian and an Olympic athlete. She represented the UK at the 2012 London Olympics.
