Quilava has a long,
thin body and is quadrupedal. It has a dark blue-green upper half and a
cream-colored bottom. It features a rounded nose, triangular red eyes, and
triangular ears with dark red interiors. It has three toes on each paw. It
possesses five red spots on its body that may shoot flames: two on its forehead
that are positioned vertically, and three on its body that are arranged
horizontally.
Quilava is less
fearful than Cyndaquil, although its behavior appears to be influenced by its
environment. A rise in aggressiveness is a frequent phenomenon during
evolution. Quilava is a natural quadruped, but it is prone to rise onto its
hind legs on occasion, allowing it to utilize Focus Punch, which is typically
only available to naturally bipedal Pokémon.
In combat, the
flames get more intense, and its Fire-type attacks are only increased when it
is weakened. Quilava is said to use its nimbleness to avoid assaults while
burning its opponents.
Quilava has a habit
of turning its back on its opponent both before and during the fight. It uses
it before a conflict to show how fiercely its fire burns. This implies it
will assault with the fire on its back.
