A car explosion at a checkpoint on the Rainbow Bridge in Niagara Falls resulted in the closure of a border crossing that connects the United States and Canada.

The FBI is on its way to the Rainbow Bridge, the point where the United States and Canada meet, to look into an explosion. The incident resulted in the transport of a 27-year-old person to a hospital.
On Wednesday morning, the car reportedly drove in the incorrect direction and struck the border check stations. Around 11:20 am, witnesses reported hearing a loud bang and saw a large cloud of smoke appear near the inspection station, according to comments provided to the Niagara Gazette. “We heard something smash,” said Ivan Vitalii, a witness from Ukraine who was there. “We saw fire and big, black smoke.”

Many police officers and emergency responders are currently on the scene directing evacuations in the wake of a large explosion that was brought on by a car breaking into a toll booth on the Rainbow Bridge at the Canada-U.S. border in Niagara Falls.
The number of people killed or injured is still unknown. There are reportedly pieces of the car explosion all over the place. In Western New York, all four international border crossings between the United States and Canada are now closed in both directions.
The event is being looked into by the FBI’s Buffalo field office. Social media users posted pictures and videos of a burning security booth. There aren’t any more details available at this time. Governor Kathy Hochul stated that she has received a briefing on the matter and is keeping a close eye on any updates. There are four border crossings that link western New York with Ontario, including the Rainbow Bridge.
