A real estate agent was left in a pool of embarrassment as
his office’s window screen, instead of displaying the usual selection of
properties for sale and rent, showed pornographic content following a system
hack. As per reports, an individual managed to breach into the electronic
advertising board at the Whitegate Estate Agents in Mirfield, West Yorkshire
and modified its contents as per his will.

The estate agent said that a person hacked their system
following a power cut.

After this humiliating incident, images of the real estate
office displaying porn from their window started making rounds on the internet.
The company got in touch with their customers on social media. After confirming
that their system was secure, they reassured their customers of the same.

“After spending the last few days looking at the systems in
the back, we have not found any hacking evidence or breaches in the systems,”
Whitegates Estate Agents posted on Facebook.

“We took the decision of plugging in the monitor today to find
that after a power failure and restart, the screen defaults to a Google search
page for a short time whilst rebooting where the touchscreen can be operated
from the front. Therefore, we believe an ‘opportunistic’ individual who was
passing searched for the image to leave on the screen,” the post clarified.

A similar incident was reported at an IKEA store in Causweay,
Bay, Hong Kong where a pornographic clip was played on a giant screen.
