Rishi Sunak on Friday announced his bid to succeed Boris Johnson as the British Prime Minister after the latter resigned from the top position earlier this week. 

Sunak is a well known British politician. He is a Conservative Party supporter. From 2019 to 2020, he was the Treasury’s top official. Prior to it, he had served as Richmond (YorkMember )’s of Parliament (MP) since 2015. Since 2020, he has served as Chancellor of the Exchequer.

In the general election of 2015, Rishi Sunak was chosen to represent Richmond (York). In Theresa May’s second government, he later worked as the Parliamentary Under-Secretary for Local Government.

After issuing a specific punishment notice for COVID-19 infractions during the lockdown, Rishi Sunak became the first Chancellor in British history to be permitted to disobey the law while in office in April 2022.

At Stroud School, King Edward VI Preparatory School in Romsey, Rishi Sunak completed his formal education. Then, he is admitted to Winchester College in Winchester, where he completed his graduate studies and continued his higher education. He later received admission to Lincoln College, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree. Afterward, he is admitted to Stanford University, where he earned a degree of  Master of Business Administration (MBA).

His estimated net worth is £710 to £730 million, as per itv.com. 

Rishi Sunak is married to Akshata Murthy. He first met his wife at the Stanford University. They tied the knot 

in SouthamptonEngland, in 2009. Krishna Sunak and Anoushka Sunak are their two daughters.  

Rishi Sunak will turn 42 this year. His height is approximately 5’6″ and his weight is approximately 64 kg. His eyes are black, and he has salt and pepper coloured hair.
