A 29-year-old bachelor from the UK took to advertising on billboards in search of a wife.

According to reports, Muhammad Malik set up a website and named it ‘Findmalikawife.com’ and bought several advertising hoardings across Birmingham to find a life partner. Malik is found posing, smiling with a quote, “Save me from an arranged marriage,” along with the link to his website.

He considers Birmingham his second home and said that he was not opposing the concept of arranged marriage but wanted to try and find someone on his own.

He clarifies on his website, “I just haven’t found the right girl yet. I had to get a billboard to get seen!”

He also mentions the qualities he needs in his wife, “My ideal partner would be a Muslim woman in her 20s, who’s striving to better her life.”

Ever since he put up the billboards, he says he has received hundreds of marriage proposals and hasn’t gone through those yet. He also said that he had tried a few other methods to find a partner for himself.

In an interview with BBC, he said that the billboards would be put up till January 14.
