Police in the United Kingdom are
searching for a man who reportedly injected a 92-year-old woman with a fake
COVID 19 vaccine and subsequently charged her £160 for it.
As per a report by CNN, the
Intellectual Property Crime Unit of the London Police has asked for assistance
from the public in order to apprehend the man.

As per images released by the police
department, the man, who is reported to be in his 30s, approached the victim at
her home in Surbiton in southwest London on December 30.
The suspect is stated to have jabbed
the woman in her arm with sharp instrument and demanded payment of £160,
stating it would be reimbursed by the National Health Service (NHS) later on.
Additionally, the man went another time to the woman’s residence on Monday,
asking for a further payment of £100.
The substance injected into the arm
of the woman has not been specified yet, even though she did undergo an analysis
at a hospital, suffering no adverse effects.
“A disgusting and totally
unacceptable assault on a member of the public which won’t be tolerated”, CNN
quoted Detective Inspector Kevin Ives as saying.
Not unlike other European nations, England
began its new year through a strict lockdown as the newer variant of the
coronavirus continued to rage on in the country where so far, reportedly, almost
one in 50 people have been infected with the viral disease.

The western European nation has begun

million vaccinations by the middle of February.
