Disney, on Tuesday, released the Star Wars: Visions trailer and it is packed with splendid visuals. Star Wars: Visions is an anime anthology series and its trailer is full of Star Wars staples like lightsabers, Star Destroyers, Stormtroopers and droids. However, it has completely distinct visuals from other animated series.
Each of the nine Star Wars: Visions episodes contains an original story. Seven studios produced the installments: Kamikaze Douga, Geno Studio (Twin Engine), Studio Colorado (Twin Engine), Trigger, Kinema Citrus, Science Saru, and Production I.G. Trigger and Science Saru each made two episodes.
The new trailer is available in both Japanese and English. The trailer contains montages of stunning visuals from each of the nine animated shorts.
“Their stories showcase the full spectrum of bold storytelling found across Japanese animation; each told with a freshness and voice that expands our understanding of what a Star Wars story can be, and celebrates a galaxy that has been such an inspiration to so many visionary storytellers,” James Waugh said. He is the executive producer and Lucasfilm vice president of franchise content and strategy.
