K-pop famous band BTS newest single, “Butter” is out now and they appear to have shattered the YouTube premiere record once again. The music video crossed 120 million views in less than 24 hours.

“Hope ‘Butter’ can be the summer song for 2021 and our next attempt at Grammys,” BTS said, quoted news agency PTI.

The track is the second all-English single after their Grammy-nominated song Dynamite that hyped up their stardom all over the world. Dynamite was released last year, in August 2020, which shattered many records, and topped several charts. It also garnered almost 101.1 million views in 24 hours, which is the highest figure in YouTube’s history.

Ahead of the song drop, the BTS fans had assembled for the big countdown to the song which released on Youtube on Friday. The band also released a statement on Thursday on Twitter, “Don’t miss the special countdown with #BTS before MV release! Gather everyone.”

‘Butter’ premiere drew such a massive audience, the video certainly lives up to that description. BTS described the single as “a summer song that is somewhat soft and charismatic.”

Ahead of its release, BTS promised that their new song “will melt your hearts like butter,” and based on the Youtube premiere and Twitter reactions, we can say they kept their promise.

Butter song has been released less than a year after they released Dynamite, the first all-English track. The song was released in August and debuted on the top spot of the Billboard Hot 100.

‘Butter’ also seems to follow the footsteps of “Dynamite”, both the songs are infectious disco-pop track with a bass-heavy beat and delectable chorus.
