Talk show host Sunny Hostin found herself in hot water after she made some comments during Friday’s broadcast of The View.

Hostin said that “Black Republicans” are an “oxymoron.”

During one of the show’s segments, Hostin, along with co-host Ana Navarro and guest co-host Lindsey Granger, discussed Karine Jean-Pierre and her relationship with CNN journalist Suzanne Malveaux. The debate shifted to a discussion of Fox News host Sean Hannity.

Towards the end of the segment, Navarro defended her network before accusing guest-host Lindsey Granger of being a Trump supporter.

“I know this may be a novel idea for somebody who’s a supporter of Trump,” Navarro said.

“Did I ever say I was a supporter of Trump?” shot back Granger. “There are many things I don’t stand by that Trump did. Trump has done things that are racist. I’m a Black woman first, so always understand that. But I do say that I have many conservative values that I will talk to you about.”

Hostin interjected, asking Granger whether she identifies as a Republican.

“Yes,” Granger replied, who then turned back to Navarro in the hopes of further debating CNN’s ethical issues with former anchor Chris Cuomo and his ex-governor brother.

“That’s an oxymoron—a Black Republican,” Hostin huffed.

“You feel like it’s an oxymoron? Why? Your friend right here is a Republican,” Granger retorted, motioning towards Navarro. “You say you feel like it’s an oxymoron that you’re a Catholic but you’re also pro-life.”

“Have I ever said I was a supporter of Trump?” Granger asked. “There are many things that I don’t stand by that Trump did. Trump has done things that are racist. I’m a Black woman first, so always understand that.”

Several people slammed Hostin was slammed for making the comments.

“Hi, @sunny. I’m Black and a proud Republican. I was raised to love America and value the principles of faith, family, personal responsibility, and service to country. I just wanted to introduce myself,” Twitter user Jennifer-Ruth Green wrote.

The Hodgetwins, conservative comedian brothers Keith and Kevin Hodge, tweeted: “Sunny Hostin trending for all the wrong reasons. Black & Brown people are not allowed to be Republican? What a racist thing to imply, what a fool!”
