Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan will be
tying the knot with Natasha Dalal on January 24, his uncle Anil Dhawan confirmed
as he told Spotboye. However, his son Siddhant and his wife cannot be spotted on
the guestlist for the wedding.

What is unknown to many people is that
David Dhawan’s younger brother was a star in the 1970s, featuring in films
including ‘Piya Ka Ghar’ and ‘Annadata’, both with Jaya Bahaduri, ‘Chetna’, ‘Samjhauta’
and ‘Hawas’. As David Dhawan began his conquest to become one of the most successful
directors of all times, his brother’s trajectory took a hit.   

Anil was intermittently seen with his
brother in movies like ‘Coolie No. 1’ where the former assumed the role of a
wealthy man of his ‘brat’ son. It is not wrong to say that that the two
brothers share a cordial relation, at best.

Thus, it was a bit unexpected when Anil
showed excitement over his nephew Varun’s wedding.

 “My nephew Varun is getting married on 24
January. I am looking forward to it.” When I asked if Anil would be attending
he retorted, “Why not?” he told Spotboye.

Anil also said that it was difficult to
see himself in comical roles since his previous films show him in a romantic
image. This is why he shifted his career and is not seen in many films, even
with his brother.
